Julian Wayne Hagan is a modern impressionist oil painter. His favorite subject matter is God's creation; EARTH, SEA & SKY.
Leonardo da Vinci said, 'Where the spirit does not work with the hand there is no art.' This quote from da Vinci inspired Julian to write a quote of his own, 'God’s creation. No one can duplicate it, just paint it.'
Julian’s inspiration to paint comes from God and his precious wife, Nancy. He paints with LCT (Light, Color and Texture) in his home studio in Spring Hill, just south of Nashville, TN.
For over 30 years Julian was busy with his radio broadcasting career and didn’t paint. In the fall of 2005 Nancy encouraged him to start painting again. He's eternally grateful for her support and being his best art critic.
Julian studied art at Valdosta State in Georgia. Also, with Tennessee artists, S.A. Habib, Chris Ousley and California artist, Elio Camacho.
He hopes his artwork brings joy to the viewer. If it does, Julian feels he has succeeded as an artist.
Julian is a member of the Arts Council of Williamson County; www.artscouncilwc.org
